I misspelled the last name on one of my 1099-NEC forms (transposed letters). All other information was correct. Status says accepted. Do I need to file a corrected one?

Yes, you do need to file a corrected Form 1099-NEC. You will need to send a corrected copy to the IRS and to the recipient of the 1099-NEC. Be sure to indicate that it is a corrected copy.

You got 2 answers, both are right.  Is this for a 1099NEC you issued to someone you paid?  Or a 1099NEC you received?  If you issued the 1099NEC you need to correct it.
