Landlord hiring contractors

I have several rental properties and hire contractors from time to time and pay them through cash app payments. Should I send them 1099 form when  I pay them over $600?

Hi Anniexie,

It would be appropriate to give your subcontractors a 1099 NEC for any service they provided.  The 1099 NEC would be inlieu of a 1099 K but is more to the point since a 1099 K could be issue for any payment over $600. It is certainly your option to do either.
