When setting up a new payee, I enter EIN number and confirm EIN number. When I continue, it prompts me to confirm EIN number. I have double checked numerous times and also copied and pasted. Sam error. I also tried to change a digit on a payee already set up both the original EIN and confirmed EIN and it errors

FYI, this was for 1099's Business edition

If updating the software does not resolve the issue, please comment back with any additional details you can provide so that we can further investigate this experience.
I did the update and it fixed the problem.
