1099-NEC as payer E-File before Taxes

I completed a 1099-NEC for a sub contractor I hired for some jobs I worked on. I see this has to be filed by January 31st.  I filled it out via turbo on the Business section. I see a spot where I can hit e-file.

.I am waiting on people to send me 1099 on work I did for them. For that reason and others I am not ready to file my taxes as of yet.

My question is can I e-file the 1099-NEC I created for person I hired by Jan 31st without filing my taxes . Then file my taxes later once I have all my information.

There is no requirement that you must file your tax return on or before January 31 after e-filing a Form 1099-NEC to an independent contractor who provided a service for your business.
