Won't update

I have turned off all my firewalls and the program update won't update. I need to file my taxes soon and can't enter my retirement income. I'm about ready to buy another software package because yours is not working.

I received a notice from the IRS that I needed to correct information for window replacement. I can't find updated status of return through IRS.gov. How do I locate that?
