Why didn't my retirement income show up on my tax return for 2017?

If you received a Form 1099-R for retirement income, the tax data from the 1099-R was required to be entered on the federal tax return, Form 1040 Line 15 or 16, depending on the type of retirement income being reported.

If you received a Form SSA-1099 for Social Security benefits, the tax data from the SSA-1099 was required to be entered on the federal tax return, Form 1040 Line 20.

Look at your 2017 tax return and the worksheets for Form 1099-R and SSA-1099.  Do the worksheets exist?  If not then you never entered the tax data from those forms.
