I received a pension in FEB. am over 61 that was require how is that going to effect my refund?  By the way, I had full taxes removed but they did say were less for my age.  Now because of that am I going to get a much less tax return as I always have received, through the year or do I need to go to personal tax specialist?

You have to ask the pension plan about getting less at 61.  But you probably do.  Do you get a pension check every month now?  You should get a 1099R for it and need to enter it on your tax return.  Hopefully the taxes taken out will cover the tax due on it but maybe not depending on your other income.

You can just type 1099R into the search box at the top of your return, then find and it will give you a Jump To link to go right to it.

OR Enter a 1099R under
 Federal on left
Wages & Income at top
Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security,
Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plans (1099R) - click Start or Update

Then pay close attention to the questions.

Does the pension plan allow less taxes because of age?
