Question

W2 has 3 rows for Boxes 18-20. Box 20 has the same value . Box 18 has 2 rows with same value. It's not allowing me to proceed, Box 20 locality should appear only once?

I can't collapse the 3 rows into 1 as Box 18 shows different values.

it does not work. I already have the 3 rows. The issue is that Box 20 is the same for 3 rows.

Box 18 has same $ amt for 2 rows and different for the third, so i can't collapse all 3 rows into one or keep them separate. Turbotax allows only unique values in Box 20.

If you only worked in one location for your employer there should only be one entry for the line with boxes 18-20.  Line 20 having the same value would indicate that all 3 lines refer to the same locality.  If that is the case then you could add the lines for each box into a single line to enter into your tax return.

You should contact your employer to verify if this is true before entering a combined single entry.

This is not a problem with TurboTax as some taxpayers have wages earned in different localities while working for the same employer and each locality needs to be reported on a separate line to ensure proper credit.
