On my federal return, Turbo Tax keeps showing a W-2 form with no income because I'm retired.  But it keeps showing as an error because there is no employer information.

How do I delete the W-2 form and stop getting errors?

    You need to delete this W-2.

     

    To delete the W-2. please follow these steps:

    1. In TurboTax, open your tax return
    2. Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Wages & Income on top of the screen
    3. Click Edit/Add next to Job (W-2)
    4. On the next page, click on the trashcan icon next to the W-2 you wish to delete..

    To delete a W-2, do the following:

    • do a Search (upper right) for W-2
    • click on the jump-to link
    • you should see a table of W-2s (maybe just one)
    • to the right of the entry you want to delete, there should be a Delete button and/or a trash can
    • click on either one to remove the W-2
