Turbotax: "You have a W-2c coming. Since you deferred some of your Social Security taxes last year,..." Both my W-2's have maxed-out SS income/withholding, a problem?

This W2C message is informational and has no effect on your tax return.  You can ignore it and file your return as usual.

that didn't fix it for me .. I am still working without real documents, just using my own records for numbers, so I will hope they recognize this problem and fix it.

I'm sorry, but could you clarify your question?

You have added to a post from last year, so it might be helpful if you restated your concern.

Thank you

I'm getting the same message about getting a W-2c for uncollected SS and Medicare taxes.  This seems to be related to taxes on company provided Group Universal Life Insurance (GUL) greater than $50K.  The message is triggered by having items in Boxes 12 a-e, specifically Codes M and N.

For the tax year 2020, I also had items in these boxes, but did not receive the W-2c notification in TurboTax20.

I'm not sure if my employer is responsible for these taxes or if I am.

I have been retired 7 years, an employee, not an employer.

You can ignore the error message on the screen and continue with your review and check out.

Wyy doesn't TT fix this error?  Wasted a lot of time trying to figure this out.

Same here. I got a letter from IRS saying I didn’t report my, and wife’s Socials Security income for 2020! Sent me a notice I owed  back taxes with a interest penalty. Yet final TurboTax accuracy checks said everything was corrected whats my recourse??
