SSN Not Valid for Employment

Hello,

I accidentally checked that my daughter, Shea's SSN was "not valid for employment" when that's not the case.  I am wondering how I can edit that.  Please let me know.  All three of my children should be the same.  Thank you.

Go back to the My Info section if using the online editions or the Personal Info section if using the desktop editions.  Edit the dependent and go through the screens until you land on the screen for entering a Social Security number.  Uncheck the box for not valid for employment.

I went back and made sure the box was not checked and it’s still says my child is not eligible for work.

@McGuire  Delete the child as a dependent and then re-enter

I did delete and re enter. I have claimed this child multiple times in the past with no issue.

I realized I made this error for both children last year (and maybe even years prior) so I lost money in my refund. I am trying to amend it now and unsure how to answer the question about carry backs.

Please clarify what you are doing in TurboTax and the product that you are using. Unchecking the box for SSN not valid for employment shouldn't prompt questions about carrybacks.

Please provide as much information as you can so we may help you.
