I'm unable to file my taxes as it gives me an error that my social security number was already used to file taxes.  How can I get more information so I can proceed with filing my own taxes?

These things do happen sad to say. Can anyone else claim you on their Return?

What you must do to protect and prove your Identity is to Mail in your Return directly to the Irs.

The Irs may request additional information from you, since your Social Security Number has already been used.
