Your post is very vague. Are you talking about the Social Security tax deducted from your pay, or in box 4 of your W-2, or do you mean the taxable amount of Social Security benefits on your tax return?

If you are talking about your W-2, what are the exact amounts in boxes 3, 4, and 7 of the W-2? What do you think is wrong?

If you are talking about your tax return, what is the exact amount in box 5 of your Form SSA-1099? What are the exact amounts on your Form 1040 or 1040-SR lines 6a and 6b? What do you think is wrong?
