Since you are concerned about why your Social Security income is not included in your tax calculation, I have several suggestions/comments for you.
For most people the calculation of taxable Social Security income starts with only 50% of the social security income received.
You can preview your return by clicking on My Account, Tools, and View Tax Summary. When you look at the tax summary, above it in the upper right section you can click on Preview My 1040. (Please look at the screenshot below). Look at line 20a total social security benefits, which should be the total of any SSA-1099’s and 20b taxable social security benefits.
Go to the link below to access a Social Security Benefits Worksheet. You can work through the calculation.
https://apps.irs.gov/app/vita/content/globalmedia/social_security_benefits_worksheet_1040i.pdf
Go back to your input screens and compare your Social Security forms to what you actually input.
If you have paid your Turbo Tax Fees, you can also print or preview your tax return. Be sure to click on “Forms filed with the government plus all worksheets”. (See second screenshot below.) Then look for Turbo Tax’s Social Security Benefits Worksheet.
