Spouse's retirement isn't state taxable. How do I account for this in TurboTax?

You didn't mention which state, however, states that don't tax things like pensions that are taxable at the federal level normally have one or more screens that ask about your 1099-Rs.

On these screens, you are asked about your 1099-Rs to indicate what kind of pension or retirement plan it is, with the goal of identifying non-taxable pensions which can be removed from your state return.

Return to your state interview and look for a screen that asks about your 1099-Rs (retirement distributions).
