Retired file return?

I am retired and so I have not to pay and no refund . Do  I have still to buy $170 software to file return? It's not fare!

You post shows you are using the Premier online edition at $90.  A state tax return is an additional $50.

The Premier edition is only needed if you are reporting any type of investment sale with a gain or loss.  Or you have a rental or royalty property with income and expenses.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

           I   have not filed my tax return or registered the Free edition, then I going to clear my return. I believe I

do not have to file. Thanks for your valuable suggestion.
