Should Total Household Income for State Return include Social Security Benefit?

It depends. Generally, social security benefits are non-taxable to state income tax, depending on your state of domicile.  You may contact your local State Revenue Department about the taxability on Social Security benefits received.

If I would have just hit next, it had the social security benefits on the next item. I posted the question too soon. Thank you so very much for replying though I appreciate it.
