Roth IRA Basis tracking

I want TurboTax to keep track of my Roth IRA basis.

Does it matter if they were direct contributions versus a Roth IRA Conversion from a Traditional IRA, or are they both considered the same?

Contribution basis and conversion basis are to be entered separately. TurboTax will ask for each.
