I have three 1099R forms and one has its entire amount noted as QCD. The 1099R amount tagged as QCD (total amount of the 1099R) has not transferred to 1040 line 4b. Line 4a is correct but line 4b is $2000.00 less than it should be. How can I correct or overide the system?

So still not sure what TT is calculating....
A QCD (Qualified Charitable Donation) is not taxable and does not go in line 4b. The total distribution should be on line 4a with the word "QCD" written next to in and the taxable amount minus the amount of the QCD on lie 4b.
If the amount that was considered to be the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) was $2000, then the amount reported on line 4b is correct.
A distribution reported as a QCD will be included on line 4a, but not 4b. Therefore, that is how you get a tax advantage for donating the distribution to charity. Since it is not taxed on your return, you also do not include that amount as a charitable deduction for Schedule A.

Just a note that some states do not recognize QACD's, so you may owe state income taxes on it.
FL doesn't have state income tax

How much is each 1099R? What do the other 3 add up to? Maybe one of them has 2,000 less taxable. Check the 1099R taxable amount line 2a. You know you can switch to Forms Mode and look at all the entries?

Thank you. That makes sense. I can be pretty dense at times!
