I have a distribution/inheritance and thus a1099-R from a deceased parent. I'm being asked about RMD distribution and don't know how to answer.

The question is - How much of the $... was a RMD. The options are 1) Entire distribution, 2) only part and 3) none

The answer is none. Your parent may have had to take Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) but you don't since this was an inherited retirement fund.
