You don't need to enter that. Just enter box 5 and any federal withholding and Medicare deduction. Just fill the boxes on the screen.
Box 3 on the SSA-1099 is a list of deductions. You just enter the Medicare deductions in the boxes. You don't enter the net deposit.
You said I don't need to enter box 3 income, but when I finish with SSN entry, it shows 0.00 income, which is incorrect since $15,084.00 income was paid in 2019. How do I enter SSA-1099 income from box 3?
Did you enter box 5? The income comes from box 5. That is the income before deductions. Where is it showing zero? Your Social Security might not be taxable.
Up to 85% of Social Security becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security, reaches:
Married Filing Jointly: $32,000
Single or head of household: $25,000
Married Filing Separately: 0
Social Security is on 1040 line 5a and the taxable amount on 5b.
To see the Social Security Benefits Calculation Worksheet in Turbo Tax Online version you would have to save your return with all the worksheets to your computer. Or if you are using the Desktop program you can switch to Forms Mode (click Forms in the upper right) and click on SS in the list on the left side.
Sorry, I see it now. thank you so much for your help. Stay safe and well.
