As a U.S. permanent resident, you have to report your worldwide income. You have to report your RRSP distributions as income on your U.S. tax return and take the foreign tax credit.
You do not have to report your RRSP contributions.
Where do I report my RRSP income on US tax return? It doesn't seem to fit in the 1099-R (IRA distribution) section.

I figured it out. Turbo Tax will ask you the question. Distribution is entered independently of IRA distribution.
