Why is it asking if I have returned the qualified disaster distribution.

 Check your 1099R entries to see if you indicated the following:

1. Did XXX take a 2016 Qualified Disaster Distribution. Check to see if you indicated yes because if you did, it will ask if you repaid the distribution.  if you didn't take a 2016 Qualified Disaster distribution, say no. if you filed a joint return, it will ask if your spouse took a 2016 Qualified Disaster Distribution.  Answer this with a yes or no answer.
2. It will ask the same set of questions for both of you for 2017. Answer these as if you did not take a qualified disaster distribution unless you did. Ignore the questions when it asks about repayment.
