Past 2 yrs I have claimed my parent as a dependent but this year she drew some funds from her pension, can I still claim her and how does the pension affect both of us?

You can claim your parent as a dependent if you provided more than half of their support and they had income of less than $4,150 in 2018.

Social security benefits do not count as income, but pension income does. If they had more than $4,150 in pension in 2018, you cannot claim them as dependent.
