No Identical response to choose in second box?  What do I do?

If you don't have a second code in box 7 skip it.  If the little IRA/SEP/Simple box is not marked or checked then don't check it leave it blank.  If it has a X in it then click on it.  Not sure what problem you have.

That is just a checkbox, usually "NEAR" boxes 7 & 8, but has no particular box number associated with it.

Oh I didn't understand the question.  Here is a screen shot of my Desktop program.   On the 1099R the little IRA box is a separate box between boxes 7&8.  It is not part of box 7.  If it has a X in it you check the little box on the screen.  Here is a shot of my Desktop program.
