My tax situation has changed. I'm completely retired with only Social Security income. Is there a way I can go back to the simple free tax form?

If Social Security was your ONLY income in 2023 you do not even need to file a tax return unless you have a 1095A for marketplace health insurance.

As a retiree and citizen, generally it is to your advantage to file a tax return even if not required to do so.

This will also guard against identity theft.
