Moved from CA to WA and will get RMD in December

Hello, we moved from CA to Wa state on 7/27/24.  We'll get our RMD's in December.  Should our financial advisor use our CA address for the distribution or should we change our address to the WA state address before distribution?  Which state will get the tax money if any?

I will have TurboTax do our taxes this year for us as they will be more complicated with the sale of a home and move to another state.

Since you will not be a resident of California when receive the RMD it is not reported on the CA part year resident state tax return.  So use your current WA address for the distribution.
