Lump sum social security payment for 2017 and I entered my 2017 total SS benefits - the review is telling me that the prior year taxable SS ben I entered is too much

If you are Married Filing Jointly, and both receive Social Security benefits, only enter the 2017 Taxable Social Security Benefit amount for the person receiving the Lump Sum Payment

If you enter the 'Taxable Social Security Benefits' amount from your 2017 return, the amount would be too large it it included both of your Social Security benefits.
