We are being asked if we repaid any 2016 Hurricane Distribution in 2018. We have never received any hurricane distribution monies. Why are we being asked this?

It is asking all taxpayers who had pensions because victims of certain disasters in 2017 may be eligible for special tax treatment of IRA and pension distributions. Just say no.

If the box allowed an answer (yes or no) to IF you got the distribution it would be clear, NO.  But you can't say NO,  the box wants the amount (it assumes you got the distribution); so I guess the answer is 0, ?? instead of NO.  Why not ask did you get it? did you pay it (or some) back? how much did you pay back?

Thanks for the guidance, I had not even heard of this hurricane distribution.
