In filling out the 1099-R form, on box 7 it is normal distribution, what it the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE for?

Enter an “X” in the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE checkbox if the distribution is from a traditional IRA, SEP IRA, or SIMPLE
IRA. Do not check the box for a distribution from a Roth IRA or for an IRA recharacterization.

Form 1040 Schedule B line 8, I ticked "beneficiary of more than 50% of a foreign trust", why does TT mark me as a guarantor, tranferor, or receiving a distribution?
