If turbo tax calculated my taxable income for Pensions as $13,800 for tax year 2021, how can it change to $29,770 for 2022 if income was virtually the same?

Difference in income on RRR-1099-R was only about $2,000 from 2021 to 2022.

Did you receive a RRB-1099 or a RRB-1099-R? (is that what what you meant by RRR-1099-R?) If so did you enter your 2022 RRB-1099-R as a 1099-R?

If you entered it as a 1099-R and not as RRB-1099-R,  then it would show up under pension income on line 5 of your Form 1040, as pension income. if you enter it as a RRB-1099 it will shows up on line 6 as Social Security Income.  Do you have an entry on line 6 for 2021 or 2022?

There are very specific ways to enter your RRB-1099-R depending on which form you got.  Please click on the appropriate one below for instructions on how to properly enter the form.
