My 1099-R is for a monthly pension distribution. Turbo Tax will not allow the 1040 to be electronically filed without the simplified method worksheet filled out - which does not apply. What can I do? The box is not marked simplified method, so I don't know how to make it file my taxes.

This problem would only arise if you had some after-tax contributions or said that the taxable amount in Box 2a was not the taxable amount to use. So, you can go to the 1099-R worksheet by clicking on Forms in the upper right, then clicking on the 1099-R worksheet showing in the list of forms in your return. Correct your answers to those two questions. Say yes to the 2a amount even if it was blank. Then If you see a Simplified Method Worksheet showing in your forms list, delete it by clicking on it to open it, then selecting to delete at the bottom of the screen.
