The benefit is clear for federal filing, where I do not need to mail other documents (and have a refund coming this year too). Also, federal e-file is included for no extra cost.

the documents you listed would be included if you filed by mail.
If you e-File your state, TurboTax will attach any required documents.
If you wish to save the fee you can file by US Mail for the cost of an envelope and postage..
