I want to contribute to my 457 Plan before April 18th. I have not contributed during the 2016 year.Turbo tax won't let me fill it in

Most answers say that it was already included on my W2 but I have not yet made the contribution.

The April 18th contribution deadline only applies to IRAs.

457, 401k and 403b contributions for 2016 had to be made by December 31st, 2016.
