I'm 17 and i receive disability from Social Security, I also worked part time while i went to high school. My mother does not work, how do i answer dependent questions?

How do i answer "someone can claim me" and "they will be will be claiming me" in the personal info section?

If your mother (or another taxpayer) can list you as a dependent (or has in the past), answer "yes" to that question. Then answer the following question "yes" if you expect to be a dependent on another return, or answer "no" if the other taxpayer won't use you as a dependent this year.

If, however, no other taxpayer may claim you as her/his dependent (or has not in the past), you would answer "no" to the question about someone else claiming you. You would answer "no" if your mother does not file a tax return, and no one else has ever claimed you as a dependent.
