I live in PA and have a 1099-R from my pension. Distribution code in Box 7 is "7". Why does my calculated PA tax go up when I enter the 1099-R info from my pension? .

PA does not tax pensions, so why does my calculated PA tax go up when I enter my 1099-R from my pension plan?

Ignore that for the moment...and finish all your Federal entries.

Then later when you go thru the PA questions, the PA software asks about every 1099-R you entered..
