I have to claim a prize for 1000, I didn't receive a 1099 form. I added this as a 1099-misc, Now it wants a social security or id number from the source I won from?

You can report the value of the prize as miscellaneous income.  However, don't enter it as a 1099-MISC as you may get an error for not having the Payer ID.  To report it in TurboTax Deluxe, go to:

  • Federal Taxes >>
  • Wages & Income >>
  • Less Common Income >>
  • Miscellaneous Income >>
  • Other reportable income

It will show up on Line 21, other income.
