I filed 2015 taxes with Turbo, but the money owed wasn't withdrawn from my account. Should I have directly payed the IRS, or is the withdrawal supposed to be automatic?

I filed my 2015 taxes with Turbo, but the money owed wasn't withdrawn from my account. Should I have directly payed the IRS, or is the withdrawal supposed to be automatic with Turbo? This is concerning because I may owe money. Also I need to know that I am using TurboTax correctly for my 2016 taxes.

You can check if your return was submitted and accepted in your email. If you selected direct deposit for your taxes due in 2015, then they should have been withdrawn automatically. To check if your return was submitted and accepted in your email, search your email for 'TurboTax' and look at the dates when you think you filed your return. When you submit your tax return with TurboTax, you receive an email that the return has been submitted. Additionally, within a few hours to days, your return will be accepted or rejected by the IRS. You'll receive another email stating this status because your taxes are not completed until they're accepted.
