I changed my mind about doing an IRA recharacterization but Form 1040 Line 4a Explanation Statement is still showing. How do I get TurbotTax to update?

I want "STMT" removed from line 4A 1040 and the Explanation Statement with the recharacterization detail eliminated from my return.

If you are unable to remove STMT from line 4A on the 1040, you may need to use Forms mode.  Please be aware, that using this mode could negate the 100% accuracy guarantee.

You can also delete the 1099-R from the Deductions and credits section and begin again.

How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?

• Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
• In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
• In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
• Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
