I am trying to figure out where to put my husband's retirement from the VA hospital and I have a w-2 from a job I worked for about 1 month.

The W-2 is entered in Wages and Salaries

• Select Federal Taxes
• Select Wages and Income
• Select Start at Form W-2

Your husband's retirement income is reported on a form 1099 R. The 1099 R will be entered in the Retirement Plans and Social Security section.

• Select Federal Taxes
• Select Wages and Income
• Select Show More at Retirement Plans and Social Security
• Select IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
