I 1099 insurance retirement

My dad usually get w2 form but year he got I1099 nec from to do tax return.

We let the employer know that this is not right and ask him to reissue his w2

The owner said he can’t do it since the i 1099 already issued and he offer to pay him a tax amount

Do you think this might effect his Obama care and other benefit when he apply for retirement next year?

You will want to file a form SS-8. Especially if he should be classified as a W-2 Employee.
