This is an informational notice about your AT&T Health Savings Account (HSA). Due to an administrative error, the Q4 Enhanced Company Contribution that was contributed to your HSA on December 16, 2022 was higher than the amount you were eligible for under the terms of the AT&T Flexible Spending Account Plan. In order to correct the error, the excess Q4 Enhanced Company Contribution was removed from your HSA on or around February 1, 2023.
As a result of the adjustment, AT&T Payroll will be issuing you a corrected 2022 W-2 (Form W-2C) as soon as administratively as possible on April 30, 2023. The correction to your W-2 will entail updating the amount designated on Code W – Employer Contributions of box 12. No updates are needed to your taxable wages on box 1 of the W-2 as a result of this correction. For a status update on the delivery of your Form W-2c, you should contact HROneStop at [phone number removed] on or after the estimated delivery timeframe. Please consult a tax professional regarding how your taxes may be impacted.
HSA Company Contributions: As a reminder, to qualify for the Q4 Enhanced HSA Company Contribution for the 2022 calendar year, you must have been enrolled in the Bronze, Silver, or Gold medical coverage as of November 30, 2022, have met the required Term of Employment requirement as of September 1, 2021, have met all other eligibility criteria, and have contributed at least these additional amounts (on top of the contribution requirements for the Standard HSA Company Contribution) for the quarter

When you are issued a Corrected W-2, enter the information from the Corrected form in TurboTax. When you are finished entering the information, a screen appears, "Let's check for uncommon situations". Check the box, "W-2 was corrected by my employer (Form W-2c)" so that the IRS will match the information on your tax return with the correct form.
See this article for more information on Forms W-2.
Will that work if corrected w-2 won't be issued until after April. Don't have yet, but I do know the new amount. It was reposted to account in February. Do I show amount that is to be shown on corrected w-2 with explaination you showed?
Yes.
If you know the corrected amount, then you can use it to enter as box 12 code W on the W-2 entry page in TurboTax, instead of the amount on the original W-2.
