I suggest you look at your Form 1040 tax return.
From the left sidebar
- Select Tax tools
- You may have to minimize both the Federal and State options by clicking the Down Arrows on the Sidebar.
- You will then clearly see Tax Tools
- Click the arrow to up to see additional options
- Click Tools
- A Menu will pop up
- Select View tax summary
- On the left panel click Preview my 1040
- Line 4a, 5a & 6a have retirement information
If these reflect 2023 numbers you must go back and re-enter the 1099-Rs
If you haven't filed your tax return yet, you can simply go back to the 1099-R input screen and type over the old one.
Under Federal
- Wages & Income
- Scroll to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) [Add/Edit]
- Did you get a 1099-R in 2024? [yes]
- If you are adding a 1099-R [+ Add another 1099-R]
- The steps are the same from here
- [Change how I enter my form]
- [Type it Myself]
- If necessary chose a person [Continue]
