How do I know if I'm getting a 1099-G?

It looks like I have to fill that section out to file, but I don't have a 1099-G yet

How do I know if I'm getting a 1099-G?

A 1099G for what?  Unemployment?  A state refund?  Or ??  They have until Jan 31 to send it to you.

How do I know if I'm getting a 1099-G?

Did you have unemployment in 2021 ?   If so then you will need to wait for the 1099-G form to be issued or go get it online. 

 

If you did NOT have any unemployment in 2021  then  you can delete the unneeded shell 1099-G that was transferred from the 2020 return ... that is why the program asks you to review that section.
