How do I get the correct forms 1099R to enter my income????
I can not find the 1099R forms to use to enter income????
I'm not sure exactly what that means. Did you lose a Form 1099-R or not receive one you expected?
Or are you merely asking how to get to the correct interview topic to enter a Form 1099-R that you received?
If you're just wanting to know "where" to enter it, here's how to get there:
With your return open, click on the Search button at the top of the screen.
In the Search line enter 1099-R without quotes and click the adjacent magnifying glass. (NOTE: Do NOT choose anything suggested in the dropdown list; use the magnifying glass.)
Click on "Jump to 1099-R".
First screen will ask: "Did you receive any 1099-R forms?"
The next screen will say: "Let's import your tax info".
That screen is only for importing the 1099-R. If you do NOT want to import and wish to enter it manually, do NOT enter anything in the institution search line. Leave the institution line blank, and do NOT click on any logos.
Instead scroll down on that screen, and at the lower right there is a gray button "I'll type it in myself." Click that.
Next screen: "Tell us which 1099-R you have." Select the correct type.
After you enter the 1099-R data, there are likely some followup questions. Continue answering all the screens in that section.
Where are the blank 1099R forms?
You do not enter your information on forms. You answer the questions in the section described in the answer above and TurboTax will enter the information correctly on your tax return.
