How do i get a 1099-g from the division of employment security? [removed]

If you're receiving government benefits of some sort (such as unemployment compensation); or if you have a state tax refund from a prior year; or for many other reasons, you may expect to receive a Form 1099-G (G, for government).

That being said, typically these statements are automatically mailed out, by a state or local government, around the end of January or the middle of February.  Depending on the nature of the Form 1099-G, the information may be available to the taxpayer earlier than that via some electronic (internet) disclosure format.

So, in your case, you probably just need to be a little bit patient, and see if your particular 1099-G arrives in the mail in the next couple of weeks.  But if you don't have it by the middle of February, then you should definitely contact your "Division of Employment Security" directly and ask for a (duplicate) 1099-G.

Alternatively, if you are impatient and want to file your tax return as soon as possible, then you could contact your Division of Employment Security immediately, and ask when they expect their 1099-Gs to be ready.  You should be able to find their contact information easily on the internet.  We would gladly provide it (phone number) for you here, but you didn't mention your geographical location in your post.  Thus, we can't easily tell you the correct phone number for your specific state (or county or city).

Thanks for asking this important question, and good luck to you.
