How do I correct the ein on my 1099R for the Defense department of accounting service ?

The ein was populated automatically and the number was incorrect and had an extra 0 in the last digit. Need help to edit this. I tried numerous times and it will not change to the  correct number.

Sometimes what you have to do is to delete the 1099-R form entirely, and re-enter it from scratch as a new form.

....and on the second go-thru, don't try to import it, or scan it from the PDF  either...just enter all the boxes manually.
