Health insurance premiums paid from a retirement pension can be deductible as a Sch A itemized deduction.

To enter this amount you would:

To enter Medical Preiums Paid

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Deductions and Credits
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Medical
  • On Medical , click on the start or update button

Note: The total medical expenses will need to exceed 10% (7.5% for those born before 1/2/52) of your AGI to receive a benefit. You can always enter your medical expenses and TurboTax will determine if you meet the thresholds.
