Form 1099-R

Every time I see an update, I think, yes, finally, the 1099-R form is ready, only to be disappointed ... again. Turbotax has known, since the BBB was signed into law in July 2025, what changes were going to be made. Turbotax keeps saying that they have to wait on the IRS to make the changes from their end first. I've been on the IRS site and the Form 1099-R has been ready for some time. WHY is it taking you so long, Turbotax?

You will not get an answer to why from anyone on this forum. That is a question only the TurboTax programmers can answer and they do not access this forum.

The Form 1099-R section is estimated to be finalized and available in TurboTax on 01/21/2026.

At least you gave me a date to hope that the update will be made on. And, yeah, these are probably the same programmers that decided that it was a good idea to stop detailing what each update did. At least, when they were doing that, I knew just what was affected by each update. Thank you for replying.
