Don't have any retirement plan from my employer so contributed $6500 to a Traditional IRA. However, Turbo T doesn't recognize $6500 as my deduction. Isn't this an error?

I think this is a bug from Turbo Tax

Hard to know.   It's unlikely the software would miss that.

BUT

Have you actually entered your Working income yet?

Working income must exceed the $$ you contributed....so you need to have entered that first.

You can go to the left-side menu and look at your form 1040...deduction should be on line 20 of the 1040 Schedule 1....also ends up on line 10 of the main Form 1040  (But other things can add into line 10 too)
